British High Commission Projects
60 day workshop for training young students and film makers from all over Pakistan under the program entitled ‘Film making For social Change’ designed to teach responsible film making, from concept to final cut in collaboration with UK based trainers who visit Pakistan for the program. Journalistic ethics and effecting behavior change are cornerstones of this program. Instructors came from the UK, and final films were screened at the London International Documentary Festival. Film makers were taken to London to share their experiences. Two separate workshops were conducted - one in 2009 and the other 2010.

University Of Karachi
Eckova CEO, Sarwar Mushtaq heads the film department at the University of Karachi, using traditional and some rather unorthodox methods to herald in a new generation of young and daring film makers who are already making their mark through new and challenging concepts and their own inimitable style and technique.

Workshop with international professional management level from NGOs, government agencies and development agencies from 30 countries at Coady International Institute in Antigonish, NS Canada. How films can be used for advocacy. Part of a certificate course on “Advocacy and Citizen Engagement”
Youth 2 Youth Workshop
Eckova and Antigonish International Film Festival are holding an interactive film workshop in October 2010 for young film makers from Pakistan and Eastern Nova Scotia, Canada. Both regions are presenting 2 films that they have produced and this will be followed by a Skype discussion on the joys and challenges youth face in filmmaking.
Skill Building for Effective Communications (2010)
This skill-building course aims to help participants develop practical skills in creating their own messages to support their organization’s advocacy and education campaigns. The workshop is attended by international professional management level participants of Coady International Institute. They will be developing a 5 minute film from concept development through production and edit. Denise Davies is one of the facilitators of the workshop. |
