Thar Dwellings
The huts that fill the villages and communities all across the Thar desert have a unique design, style and character to them. The circular wall made out of a mixture of mud, cow dung and water keeps the hut cool through the hottest of days. The conical thatched roof is made out of straw-like stalks which actually channel water outside the perimeter of the wall when it rains and keep the hut dry at all times.
